Orientation

Date: 23 March 2011

There's something special about today. Yes, this date will definitely become the day I cherish the most. Judging by the title, I know what ya'all think. It's the first day of my degree course!!! And I just had my orientation day XD

Now that the boring stuff is out of the way, I could move on to my social life...or more importantly, my love life.

I know that a few posts ago (ok, quite a number of posts ago), I always bragged about how my love life sucks and that maybe someday I would find my dearest one along my miserable pitiful journey I call life. Guess I didn't have to wait that long. ^^

His name is Cyren or that's what most of his friends would call him. I call him Cy...or all the lovey dovey names...hehe. Like a caterpillar, we started out curious yet insecure at the same time. Because of our past relationships (refer back to my previous posts), we sort of have a rough and ugly path of relationships. As time moved on, the caterpillar shields itself by encasing itself in a cocoon. Similarly, we hardened our bonds by hanging out and we explore each other (mentally of course but it got a bit physical in between). I assured you readers, we are still clean regardless (at least for now =P). Towards the end of the road, the caterpillar, after a long slumber, morphs into a beautiful butterfly. And I am proud to say, we are officially two butterfly venturing into the world together.

As a matter of fact,

we adopted two baby caterpillars ^^ We named them Cy and Ray Juniors. hehe. Currently, they are under my care and this shall be a test to evaluate my parenting skills. You can't see Ray Jr above but you may notice that there are alot of poops around. Those two can eat!!!

Furthermore,

I guess two really are better than one, even if I did mention before that we all have to be independent throughout life. You can still live life alone and find success but wouldn't it be better to share those success and dreams with someone by your side?

To conclude this post, two fireflies frolicking with each other as they flew passed me and Cy. Depending on some cultures of Japan, fireflies represent love. Was it a coincidence that those two flew by? Not to mention, the area within the vicinity was a construction site. Though we didn't manage to catch it (we were gonna let it go, dun worry), we left with a smile on our face, ready to take on the world together

Graduation

"The road for dreams to become reality is arduous but not impossible"
Raymond Tang

At the starting line, we all prepared ourselves for the obstacles lay ahead. A journey with milestones to achieve and lessons to be learned. Though there were other similar journeys, ours is simply called Foundation in Arts.

Like all other journeys, all the participants were new and the classrooms were all too foreign for the students. Some might have experienced it beforehand but to most, it was something new and exciting to partake.

Not a class was too dull for me myself but with regards to the others, they found new challenges to face and learn by the mistakes they encounter to step forward towards a brighter future. The lecturers themselves were more than happy to present new knowledge and ideas which the students yet to grasp. Fun and study had no associated so perfectly with each other.

Hours by hours, weeks by weeks, days by days and months by months, both the staff and participants endured and enjoyed, learning various things from each other. The participants improved and gained new ways to interact with each other whereas the staff members grew wiser, giving them perspectives observed by the participants. An academic ecosystem functioned as whole to produce life in Sunway University College.

Throughout the entire year, there was frustration, anger and conflicts even. Some were not able to adapt to this strange environment and fail to proceed on. But with the assistance of both staff members and participants, they thrived. This showed that the year was not filled with sadness and animosity; joy and laughter permeated through the air.

Then came the day when the students had to face their last challenges. Fortunately, most prevailed and the staff were absolutely delighted. Today, we all made our farewells for some would leave us while the other stayed back.

And this brings us back to the starting line as we all prepare ourselves for the obstacles lie ahead.

Congratulation FIA students and I thank the staff members for being there for us throughout the year

Just Lovely Thoughts ^^

Cold and wet, up in the mountains

Your absence aggravates the lonely ambiance

'Round every corner, I'm urged to call you

Emotions too great to resist your companion

'N I'm petrified for the future is shrouded with inexpectations

Wouldn't you agree with life's unfolding secrets?

Omen, great or horrible, we can't predict

Nevertheless we have dreams and hope

Gone is the doleful past and moving on with the optimistic future

Human Immunodeficiency Virus

Yesterday, I had my first bloodtest. Normally, I would not be anxious about this kind of things since I donated blood before. But this was like whether I would be infected by that pesky HIV. I know i know. The very reason I would be infected in the first place is I did naughty stuff with random guys but I have almost stayed clean for half a year......I SAID ALMOST...lolx

I ain't gonna drag this post for I am lazy to write anything right now. Must be the excitement over the test earlier. Believe me, the suspense was killing me. I had tried to listen to Gaga's songs but it wouldn't work. Few minutes later, the counselor reported back that I was clean. XD

He even gave me a box of condoms == Apparently, young ppl like me have a higher sex drive. So me and my box of condoms, left the place feeling contented and 'clean'. Now it's just the matters of staying that way

Here's the website for those who wanna test their blood and suffer the same experience I had...hehe

Shocking facts

As the saying goes, knowledge is power. But there's another phrase which is common among us youths - 'too much information'. Today I learn two facts regarding culture and life. Quite entertaining and surprising.

First off - The War of Oaken Bucket

In 1325, there were two cities went by the name Modena and Bologna in Italy. One day, people from Modena invaded Bologna and stole a bucket of the city. Ruining their pride, the people of Bologna decided to start a war against the Modena. Thousands were killed and the war proceeded for 12 years. In the end, the Modena prevailed. Even now, the bucket still resides in Modena.

This is one of the hilarious wars in history. Honestly, the war started all thanks to a bucket. It's plain stupidity and embarrassment.

Secondly - The Sambia tribe

For this seemingly typical tribe in New Guinea, when boys enter maturity, they are encouraged to leave their family and live in a lodge full of bachelor men. In here, the boys are taught how to...erm....well, put it in simple word, blowjob other males. To this tribe, swallowing another man's semen is considered an act towards adulthood. It will help these young boys (emphasis on the young) to become a real man. Several fellatios follow everyday in the lodge. Surprisingly, even with all these homosexual activities, they are still stimulated to women. This goes to show that, most gays are born naturally. ^^

google them if u dun believe me =3 but to save you the trouble, below are the links to the facts above.

Movie Review - Casablanca

As I was scanning the shelves of my library, I saw the DVD Casablanca. It's located inside a room specialized for video reference. A few times have I ran into it and as tempted as I was, I was also frightened for the thought of the movie might suck big time. It's a romantic film set during WW2 and from what I'd heard, it was a classic to be watched. However, it was a black and white film produced in the 40s. Hence, my fear.

Despite my initial fears, I reluctantly grabbed the DVD and walked to the counter to check it out. Fortunately, it was not as boring or hellish as I thought it would be. To my surprise, it was an awesome movie for a movie produced in black and white. Now I know why they call it a classic. So, for this movie review post, I have decided to go retro and feature this spectacular Oscar-winning movie.

CASABLANCA
Now, the thing is, I don't normally watch romantic films, let alone in black and white. But there are tons of reference made to this films in today's media. So, I was compelled. I even managed to catch the infamous phrase, "This looks like the beginning of a beautiful friendship". XD

I tried not to reveal any spoilers but if you guys wanna enjoy the movie without any disturbance, better skip this paragraph. Basically, this movie is set in WW2 with a couple madly in love but the guy is dumped by the woman for no apparent reason. Years later in Casablanca (it's a city), they run into each other again but this time, the girl is seen with a husband. Drama?

As for the rest, you guys need to download or buy the movie to find out. Seriously, though it's a really really really old movie, it still compels me to watch it.

A solid 4 out of 5

Aromatherapy

Bought a freshener the other day at Daiso in Sunway Pyramid. I know it doesn't look like a freshener, it looks more like twigs stuff inside a bottle of liquid. As a matter of fact, the freshener IS twigs stuff inside a bottle of liquid or presumably, perfume.

It has the fresh garden kind of smell which I would say it's wayyyyy better than the strawberry perfume (I choked on it when I smelled it). Now, my room smells of evergreen. hehe. Plus, it only costs RM5. To be specific, everything inside Daiso costs RM5. They never have anything like this is Sibu. Too bad~

However, the thing doesn't last long. The bottle is already half empty within the week. That's what we get for cheap stuff I guess. Still, it was worth it.

Chapter 2: Bloody Bitch

Dealing with an undead being was not easy. First of all there was the foul breath. It’s like these zombies never heard of breath mint. I would puke if I didn’t have to hold back the tremendous strength. However, breath was still tolerable as compared to the pus-excreting skin. While trying to defend myself from that seemingly unrelenting bite, I had to grip tight onto both arms. For some reason, the skin was stripping off with coagulated blood and pus staining my hands. It was utterly repulsing. Of course, the hideous facial feature beat the rest to top. I couldn’t even look at it for more than 3 seconds.

Anyway, its saliva was dripping onto my cheeks. It was somewhat similar to an irritant because I felt uneasy as soon as the drool hit my face. Thank God I didn’t swallow any of it. Who knew what would happen to me if I did. Unwillingly to turn into a zombie, I decided to kick its abdomen, sending it flying towards the wall behind it. I spat at the ground after realizing the disgust I just experienced.

The zombie, then, began picking herself up but her neck tilted to one side. It seemed the impact against the wall broke her neck. I didn’t know I had it in me. Without giving it the advantage to ambush me again, I grabbed my 5.5litres water bottle (or tank) and smashed it onto that ugly face senseless. Blood splattered everywhere and some onto my shirt (CURSE YOU!!!)

A couple of beatings later, I stopped seeing the bloody mess I had made on her face. Now, she became uglier. I let out a few pants and sighs. Overwhelmed by what I just did, I couldn’t believe fiction had become reality. Zombies had crossed the boundaries of media. Now, they were rooming my condo or probably the entire world. Information was vague. There was no news or whatsoever last I checked on the net. Could zombies arise within a night just like that?

That was an answer I had to wait because the female zombie was reaching out its hand towards my thigh. According to all the zombie movie I’d watched and games I’d played, I was supposed to severe its brainstem, thus, killing it (again?). But there were films illustrating that even if one decapitated its head, the head would still be alive. I knew since I did a report on zombies on received a decent mark for it.

As for now, more smashing was required. As more blood splattered the wall around me, the bitch was still moaning. Enough was enough! I decided to drag her over the balcony and threw her over the railings to please my sore hands. There was a long silent until...SPLASH!

It hit the ground hard. Brain matter flew everywhere and that put a smile on my face. But I was still covered in goo. A bath was needed. Still, I was satisfied that I killed my first zombie. That satisfaction ended when I heard the next shambling across the hall. It was the boyfriend.

It was de javu to me but hey, only the strong shall survive~

My first vBlog ^.^

Hey guys! I don't know what got me into doing this but...tada~ Here's my first video blog. It's one of the few times I did this, which is talking to myself in front of a camera impromptu without knowing what to say.

However, I have tried to be as innovative as possible but I'll let you guys decide whether it suits me to do another vBlog.

Do leave a feedback. hehe

So it begins; now it ends

For those of you who did not read my previous post (shame on you), I'm currently facing my exam. Fortunately, tomorrow is my last day (HOORAY!!!). I'm lame, ya~

Anyway, imma use LEGO to illustrate the challenges I faced during my examination moments. It's quite tough and I'm in fatigue at the end of every day since the initiation of the exams. Without further ado, here are the days of riots~

( Battle of English)

At the start of this whole trepidation, there was the Battle of English. The journey began with me stuck in a cob of webs, not literally of course. There was a comprehension on how Hiroshima suffered during WW2. Quite a massacre perhaps but that wasn't the horrible. What was horrible was the need to explain Korean culture (RAWR!!!). I stuck at its cobwebs for several moments as I tried to use my saber to chop it to pieces. I have no animosity against Korean but I know NOTHING...NADA about the culture except for their delicious Kimchi. The monstrous arachnid in this battle is the essay (as usual). At least, this time, I managed to reach my conclusion without a minute to spare.

( Conquest of the Field of Business)

On the same day itself (which was yesterday), I need to defeat and conquer the Field of Business. On this field, the major problem I had to deal with are Marketing (the unsteady boat with minimal firepower) and Management (the seemingly hungry croc). Apparently, I installed enough firepower in my brain to kill every single croc I found in the raging river of Business. For this paper, I need to crap as much as possible and hopefully I hit the jackpot among those craps (good luck to the lecturer on this). WHAHAHAHAHA~

( Challenge of Arts)
On the streets of the cultural world, myriad of ancient and modern culture mingled together in the Challenge of Arts. In the culturally abundant world, there are chests of knowledge waiting for me to grasp. However, ruthless bandits who are just as avaricious as me stood in my wall. I enjoyed a little challenge in terms of cultural knowledge. That is why for this paper, I can ace it. I would seriously pour a river of tears as big as the Nile if I don't achieve 90 and above for this paper.

( Day of the Psyche)

And it came to Psychology, my future degree course. It is the study of human behavior and mind and like the dense tropical jungle in Malaysia, psychology comprise of thick woods and arduous passage which can be confusing sometimes. Unlike the lessons in degree course, the psychology I had learned in my foundation was rather...a small garden-sized jungle. Honestly, it was quite easy to pass through this enigmatic forest. There were the frequent bothersome weeds in the way but overall, you don't need the crystal skull to reach El Dorado for this one.

( Rebellion of Numbers)
Last and hopefully least, I must join forces with the allied team in the rebellion of numbers. This final battle holds the key to my gateway as a degree student. Even though it's just maths, I'm gonna switch to my full throttle mode tomorrow. I'm aiming to score a perfect 100 for this one. My limits are to be tested. No giant albino squid can stop me comes 9.10am tomorrow. I will defeat it and fry it for supper. Seafood contains a high amount of protein (sorry squid). Amidst of this excitement, there is a time limit. If I do not arrive on the ETA (3 hours to be exact), the gate to my future will be close...forever (NOoooooo!), at least until my next resit for the exam.

Itchy and Itchiness

*scratch* let me just skip right to the point as I still need to study and as the title says, I'm itchy *scratch*

The other day, I started scratching non-stop till I had blemishes everywhere. There was pain, there was itchiness, there was agony. Apparently, I developed an allergy reaction after many consultation from my friends. The only problem was, I didn't know whether it was food allergy or bug bite. I had checked every inch of my bed and couldn't find one single dead bug. There was one on the floor but that was it. So I was skeptical. Then I turned my attention to food. Did I eat anything weird? I really had no idea.

Early this morning, I realized I couldn't even sleep. The itchiness was overwhelming and my blood was smearing all over my bed. There seemed to be bumps, not your typical mosquito bumps but huge ones that I was shocked to even look at it. During that moment, what was going through my mind was - jumping off the balcony ain't so bad. *Kidding*

But still, it was unbearable. My whole body is a mess. It's like I ventured into a jungled, tackled by a bear, sucked by the leeches and attacked by plant monsters. Even when I showed it to the docs, the nurse flinched when she saw my body. T_T

I'M HIDEOUS!!!
But that's not the worse part. So, I had decided to visit Sunway Medical, the nearby hospital due to desperation. At least the nurses there were kind enough but their bill sucked the life out of ya. It was freaking RM80.40. I dunno what's with the 40 cent. Must be tax. The doc did confirm that I had food allergy. Let's hope he's right.

Btw, did I mention that I had my final exams later? Freaking English and Marketing. I'm dead tired now but tomorrow there's two battles to face...again.

TO BE CONTINUED~ =)
