Show Me Your Teeth

Yesterday, I experienced what everyone (mostly me) would consider as a nightmare - I visited the dentist. *GASP*

It had been years since my last visit to the teeth doctor. From what I could recall, the last time anyone stuck something into my mouth was my primary school years. So...yeah, it was that long since my last visit to the dentist. XP

As for yesterday, I broke that record due to my incessant bleeding from my gums. I would seriously bleed on any given random time. When I'm in class; when I'm eating; when I'm making with someone(which the other party finds gross) =(

This is the amount of blood I could spit out @@

In order to save myself from dying due to lack of blood, my friend persuaded me to visit the dentist. It's not that I have a phobia towards these docs, it's just that I hate the idea of people scrapping my teeth or injecting me with anesthetics, then scrap my teeth.

So, I waited patiently for the nurse to call my name which wasn't long. As soon as I stepped into the doc's chamber, the doc asked me to open my mouth and examined it. He explained I could have leukemia or some severe STD. Good thing I'm still a teen cuz those ailments normally apply to people older. However, my teeth were full of tartar.
Basically, tartar is a blackish mineral developed from food accumulated between the teeth and the gum. A little of it is normal but my teeth was full of them. Guess I missed those little piggies when I brushed my teeth.

To prepare myself for the pain, I thought of a happy place which failed horribly. The second the doc started to clean my teeth (all of them), I could taste the blood. Moreover, the feeling of something scrapping your teeth was unbearable. By the time, he was done with the bottom row, I spat out a mouth full of blood and tartar. Then I prepared myself for the top row.

I felt like I sat there forever. Needless to say, the nurse was of no help at all. She tried to apply some salty liquid to ease the pain but I became more petrified. When all was done, I was smacked with another excruciating pain. The bill was RM120.

Too bad there was no lollipop for me T_T

At the end of the day, my gums were still bleeding but at least I felt much more at ease with my current tartar-less mouth. Sad to say my teeth took a huge bite at my wallet.

Back and Return

In less than 24 hours, I have come back and forth from my college to my hometown. Let me tell ya, it manage to make it into my top-ten most DESPISED trip.

First of all, it's less than 24 hours. == Yes, I went back at night and came back here the next day in the afternoon. Those 4 hours wasted on the airplane. Speaking of airplane, I wanna congratulate Airasia for winning the most the suckish commercial flight in Asia. The seats are uncomfortable; meals are damn expensive; there was a piece of rubbish stuffed into my seat; not enough personal space and the flight attendants were not hawt(both males and females) >=(

Before I proceed on my rant, the purpose of my homecoming was to attend an interview in order to earn a scholarship. The company which is providing the scholarships is Ta Ann, an obscure wood-manufacturing company in Sibu. Since my dad knows the owner, who happens to be a Dato, he managed to persuade the guy to give me an interview.

Anyway, my stingy daddy wanted me to get the scholarship so bad that he was willing to buy the airtickets for me. AWWWW....such a "TERRIFIC' dad ==

I suffer and still suffering a migraine from the flight and bus ride which basically took up my whole day. Plus, I have several due assignments that I need to complete before CNY. Furthermore, the interview was a total FAIL!!! Those ppl wanted me to study either engineering or accounting while working in a sawmill factory. LIKE HELL I'M GONNA SACRIFICE MY LIFE FOR THEM!!!

And the saddest thing is I didn't even get to enjoy playing my PS3 much. T_T Everything was in a rush. At least, I managed to take some pics of my old junks and collections b4 I left (I will feature them in the next post). Also, I managed to taste two of Sibu delicacy. The "pian niuk" and "kampua". Basically, they are who West Malaysian would call Wan Tan Mee but the ones in Sibu can be ordered separately.
here's a pic of Sibu version of Wan Tan XD

Overall, life is a bitch but sometimes it tastes good XP

My Holiday Cheers for 23rd

Note: All of this occurred solely on 23 December 2010

Time:1am
Venue: SS2
Task: Going back

Well, a certain famous blogger had returned to the land of Malaysia but apparently, he only had one day to spend with us. In order not to waste any precious time, me and him and a group of friends decided to yum cha even though there are a few social hindrances and location inconveniences. We ended our "long" yum cha session at Murnis around 1am-ish.

Time: 6.30am
Venue: Kepong
Task: Waking up

As I mentioned, he only had one day to waste his time on us. So, a plan was formulated to eat Dim Sum as early as 7am. Though some of us managed to rub the sands off our eyes, the whole group was only present not until 7.50am. The main host was lost along the way. That wasn't the worst case scenario. To make matters more inconvenient for everyone, the host forgot to turn his headlights off so the car died due to battery exhaustion. After attempts of jump started the car by pushing it, we eventually waited for the mechanics to open at 9am. In the meantime, we were mesmerized by the power of Tarot Cards. (Dun ask much) It was quite an eventful morning to say the least =)

Time:10am
Venue: Ikea, PJ
Task: Buying random items

After the Kepong trip, there was time to waste before each of us had to complete our own tasks for the day. Hence, Ikea was our next destination. Mind you that I never went to Ikea before for my entire life so it was sth special for me (>.<)
I was amazed and I tried to savour my moments in Ikea (Life's too short) while the others went off to check out the items on their shopping list. When everyone was done, we went to the canteen to chow on the so-called heavenly meatballs wherein one bite can kill you and resurrect you seconds later just because it is heavenly. ==

Time:12pm
Venue: Bukit Bintang
Task: Waiting for Dad

This was when everyone went their separate ways. My dad was in town so thought of spending the afternoon with him before he returned back to Sarawak. Truth was, he had money and I was so not looking forward to spend the insufficient cash I call my allowance. He bought me some stuff and treat me for lunch in some high-class restaurant in Sungai Wang. Again, this doesn't happen much in my current life so I savoured every moment though walking around the area gave me fatigue.

Time: 3pm
Venue: Bukit Bintang - Pavilion - KLCC - Pavilion - Time Square - KL central - Midvalley - KL central - Kelana Jaya Station - Sunway Pyramid - HOME
Task: Searching for my comic and getting home
Just right after my dad left for the airport, that was when my day started to get really hectic and tiring. As you all already know, I'm an avid comic reader. I'm proud to say I'm a geek and during the excruciating journey, I was looking for Gotham City Sirens: Songs of the Sirens. It's the Volume II for Gotham City Sirens, a DC comic revolving around Catwoman, Harlequin and Poison Ivy. All of them are former villainess who trying to fit in in Gotham without causing any trouble which to no avail

Anyway, the paperback book was bound to be in some expensive bookstores since the MPH in Sungai Wang clearly didn't have it. As a matter of fact, the lousy bookstore didn't even have a single comic book. So off I went in search of the elusive comic book. I tried the Times in Pavilion but also to no avail. Heck, the staff even labelled the sections wrongly. INCOMPETENCE!!!

Since I last saw it in Kinokuniya, the extremely up-to-date bookstore around the whole KL, I decided to walk there so I was in no mood to take any public transport which would just delay my goal. Btw, I didn't buy it the last time I saw it was because of financial setback. Hence, Daddy came along =)

So, I walked toward the seemingly tall twin-towers, vaguely remembering the roads en route there. Fortunately, I found the Aquaria, an aquarium in KL which was connected to KLCC. Following the trail from there, I easily found my way to the towers and after that, the bookstore. The downside to it? C'mon, there's always a downside to EVERYTHING. I couldn't find the book!!! According to the staff, they did not own such book but I was like " I saw it with my own eyes!!!"

Didn't wanna waste my already half-emptied energy bar, I sought the whole shelves for the book without heeding the staff's statement. Half of the comic section shelves later, I gave up. Feeling disappointed, I tried to recall any other bookstores within my reach. That was when Time Square came into my mind. However, to get there was the only problem. I could take the novice adventurer way out by taking the LRT and switching to the other LRT or I could walk there from KLCC.

After minutes of considerations, walking sounded much more cost-worthy. Less then half an hour later and severals near-death experience on KL roads, I managed to arrive the designated spot in one piece. Again, there was another problem. The once huge and impressive Borders in Time Square was derided of its pride and demoted to the lower ground floor. Furthermore, the book I wanted was nowhere in sight.

Sighing, I almost gave up cuz my feet was bleeding due to the excessive power walk and my shoulder strained cuz of the laptop in my backpack. But I never lost hope for if I did, I had to come back out there again next month and think of the psychological effects it would bestow on me. Therefore, Midvalley became my next destination since there is a comic book store there solely for geeks like me. Thank Stan Lee for I finally found the book in the comic bookstore. It was actually the cashier who told me about the availability of the book. If he didn't mutter a word, you would have had a really exhausted emo boy right now.

With purchase done, I giddily skipped around while smiling insanely but my moment of joy came to a halt when I realized I had to go home. After asking a lady from the information booth, I thought I would know where to go but instead, I was lost on the highway. But my tiny hope burned bright again when I noticed a bus en route to KL central. So I went back there, took the Kelana Jaya LRT and waited one freaking hour for U623 bus driver to arrive.

For that, my day concluded with a very tired boy happily reading a comic book. ^^

Time Time; Money Money

This is a story about a kid who wasted too much time wasting his money and other's as well. =P

Earlier today, this kid went to class to find that the lecturer ain't there. As a matter of fact, it was supposed to be an Independence Study Day. So students were supposed to stay in class and finished whatever the lecturers provided the students to do with them MIA in class. (Do not ask me what is Independence Study Day cuz this is the first time I heard of it as well)

The only class the kid had was Psychology but he a
lready did the assignment given by the lecturer. He ended up helping the others with their work and wasted a morning. Then, a friend called him out for lunch. So, they along with another friend went to the newly opened Restaurant Toilet Concept in Sunway Pyramid where everything is based on a typical toilet.
They have sinks as tables, toilet seats as seats and mini toilets as plates. They even have ice cream in the shape of...well, something that were supposed to be in the toilet. XD To be a bit vulgar, it was in the shape of shit.
(ain't it cute ^^)

Actually, it was the second time the kid had been to the restaurant but not of the same location. The first was in Sungai Wang. Anyway, money was wasted here since the food were a bit pricey along with tax.

Next, the kid and his friend went to Carl's Junior to online. A while later the friend left and the kid stayed behind, watching youtube video and reading boring articles (for class purposes). This was when time was really wasted as the kid remained there from 3pm until 7pm with the notebook screen in front of him. Also, it was a waste of money but not for the kid but the fast-food outlet.

One thing you have to know about this sly kid. He have to drink a lot liquid due to some medical condition. So, the devious kid bought a small cup of drink, cost around RM3.65. As you all know, Carl's J allows free refill. 10 to 20 cups later, the kid was still thirsty. =3

The drinks the kid consumed were Iced Tea, Iced Lemon Tea, Coke,
Sarsi and more Iced Tea. By 7pm or so, the owner came forward to the kid and asked him to leave since the place was packing fast and he wanted to make business not losing it. Basically, he was kicking the kid out. Without any choice, the still thirsty kid left (cursing along the way XD)

So, time was wasted, money was wasted, others' money was wasted. Right now, the kid is wasting time yet again typing this thing in another outlet, slowly draining their revenue~~~

My first Zumba

Yesterday, I had my first Zumba somewhere in Sentul. (Sorry, still not quite familiar with KL roads.) Basically, Zumba is a form of exercise mixed with dancing created in the 90s. The music they used to conduct the exercise is mostly Latin along with some international Pop songs.

This particular Zumba was held as a charity event for what society? I have no idea. Anyway, I had to dance/exercise continuously for 2 hours with a maximum of 1 minute break interval, after 5 songs or so. Gotta admit, it had been a long time since I did something as extreme as Zumba but I enjoyed it. =)

Now, for the aftermath. Of all the body parts, the pain seems to congregate in my back instead of my limbs. I can't even bend down. Still, gonna participate more Zumba in the future. As for now, my body needs to rest @_@

Back Again to the Holy Ground

It's that day of the week again. Church~

Again, I was quite surprised because I was able to drag myself out of my comfy bed with a soft pillow and Penggy besides me. I even got the urge to use my man tool but somehow I hesitated.

Next thing I knew, I was waiting for the bus to come fetch me to Acts Church. The other day, I found out that my lecturer was an attendant of the church as well which gave me a whole lot of reason to mess with her life. Whahahaha.....

The service was just as enjoyable as last week's. On the other hand, I was holding my bladder towards the end of the sermon and I'm sorry to say, I wasn't paying attention at the last few moment of it. After all the prayers were made, *rush to the washroom*

As for lunch, I had a quick one with the lecturer I mentioned earlier. Then, she dropped me off at Pyramid and now, I'm stuck here with a mount load of assignments =.= (One of it is from her)

God, where are you??? =/

Strolling in the drizzle

Noticing the storm clouds above, I left broom hill in a swift and jogged for shelter as the first raindrops splashed onto the asphalt street. I was in reverie no more, back to the harsh reality. The journey to safety was a long way to go and the streets were full of wet metallic monstrosity. Even the sky had no mercy on me. It created thousands of ponds of water to drench my feet. I was doomed.

Carrying my bag, I decided to refill my energy bar at a nearby food parlor called McD. Strange name indeed. I ate a wholesome meal of cheeseburger and chips dipped in tomato sauce plus two bottle of soda. My life points have been revived. Now on with the journey.

One of the metallic beasty splash a pond at me, soaking me but I was drenched enough from the tiny minions of the clouds above. No point of drying myself, I proceeded on. I crossed the sea of metallic beasts to a smaller pathway.
By then, a mighty gale slowed me down but still, I continued on, knowing I had to reach the safety zone before one of the beasts consumed me. I also encountered new foes. An agile accelerating quickster. These creatures were faster than the metallic beasts and they were able to surpass almost anything in a split second.

After some spine-chilling race, I managed to make it into the Shadow Maze. To my surprise, this maze was relatively easy to solve.

In the end, I made it out alive but barely. I wished I had a companion joining me in this hazardous journey but sadly, this journey was mine alone to take. However, I hadn't seen the last of the monsters. Every ending is a new beginning.

THE END?

Back to the Lord's house

Yes, as the title said it, I went back to church today. To those who knew me personally, yes I did prayed and I'm not bluffing. *Surprise surprise*

It's been a long time but my intentions weren't exactly pure but I was thinking it's about time I listen to some sermons. Though I had to drag my ass up this morning and believe me it was excruciating, I managed to pack my bag and left the apartment.

The sermon was as usual but with a bit of twist from my previous church. It was more current and they followed the flow of culture. It was interesting and fun to say the least. Unfortunately, it also stirred up some painful memories I left in the past. *sigh*

Anyway, the other thing about the church was that it's scary because everyone was super nice. XD
Some of them were eager to meet me and I had shook numerous hands. (I lost count)

But bear in mind that I haven't completely revert back to Christian. Need time for that. As for next week sermon, tune in for the next exciting episode of The Sequence of Life.

In Lord's name~

My Thursday Odyssey

It's a Thursday which means I don't have any class to attend to but that doesn't mean I'm any less busy. My agenda was long and a tad tedious but someone gotta do the job.
It all began early in the morning (midnight actually, it was passed 12am). I was reading a few-days-old newspaper and I asked myself, "why the heck am I reading this". So I put aside it with the other paper junk for recycling.

Now, I'm gonna fast-forward to morning. Jogging was supposed to be the first thing on my to-do list but somehow, my laziness overwhelmed me. Passed 11am, I was up and ready to start off the day which was held back for a while due to my persistence on gaining experience in the Facebook game City of Wonders (I need someone to build my Angkor Wat!!! >.<>

So here came the hard part, getting all the consent forms for my Moral Studies lecturer and damn, she's elusive! Getting all the consent forms from my group members was arduous enough but finding the lecturer took the crown. See, for my group's Moral Studies project, we have to attend an event - FAISAL CUP. Yes, I know, I never heard of it either. Supposedly, it is a Sports Day equivalent event when me and my groupies have to enlighten a group of orphans by participating in their games or other duties. (The event is an impending post on this blog...hehe)

Now back to my today's Odyssey. Tracking down the lecturer (I won't reveal her name due to confidential issues) was like chasing a wild goose. I searched from the 4th floor to the ground floor and backed up again. You couldn't imagine the calories I had burnt running up and down the stairs. Finally, I gave up. If she wanted the consent forms, she could ask for it directly from me. Pftt...(I was exhausted and pissed with a growling stomach)

Anyhow, I went to Pyramid because the next thing on my list was opening a bank account for personal purpose(I'll talk about that in the future). Ran into a friend who gave me a head-ups about requiring RM250 to make a saving account and I only had RM 100 in my wallet. @_@

By this time, my stomach couldn't take it anymore. It dragged me to McDonald for the lunch promotion. As always, I ordered the cheapest meal on the menu - Mc Chicken XD. While munching and Facebooking at the same thing, I ran into my groupies (3 of them to be precise) but I continued to munch alone. Then the lecturer e-mailed me that I should send the forms to her at 4pm in my college. I was like..."I just got here, don't make me lose more calories".
In the end, I managed to deliver the forms but didn't get the chance to open a saving account for I did not know the bank closed at 4.30pm...ISH. (I left Pyramid around 4.45pm cause I was really lazy to move about...whahaha) Thank God, the lecturer was still in the college by 5pm. At least I managed to cross out one thing on my list.

That's it for today's journey. Now I have to bathe and wash my dishes and do the laundry. *Sigh*

A picture I taken while in pyramid.
My spotlight XD
